Your First Visit

What to expect

Our initial appointment together will last approximately one hour. With this time we would like to become better acquainted with you and your individual needs. We'll do a thorough examination of your teeth and gums, bite mechanics and perform an oral cancer screening. After you set an appointment date with our office: Locate your insurance card and please contact your dentist to provide us with a current set of complete radiographs (x-rays) so that we can discuss all available treatment options. 

Communication 

After our evaluation Dr Engert will contact your dentist and will coordinate a plan of action with you which best fits your needs. In all cases we respect your individual ideas about your care and will work within these parameters. We encourage our patients to become involved in their treatment and welcome your questions. We strive to communicate your options clearly. Shortly after your first visit you will receive a copy of the consultation report that we send to your general dentist. 

Location 

Our office is located in the 450 Sutter Medical Dental Center, a National Historic Building. Allow yourself some extra time to park and take in the Union Square area. You'll enjoy the panoramic view of Downtown and The Bay from our 23rd floor suite. Parking is available at the 450 Sutter Building or the economical Sutter/Stockton public garage.
